Hello, can anyone suggest any work specifically devoted to the implications CR has for ethical theory? I am interested in the cross over between facts and values, and in the possibility of grounding ethics in realist ontology.
Try Kenneth Melchin, 2001, History, Ethics and Emergent Probability, 2nd Ed., The Lonergan Web Site (ISBN: 0-9684922-0-7). This is based upon the Canadian philosopher Bernard Lonergan's critical realist ontology.
There's also a good book by Sayer on the Moral Economy of Class which comes from a CR perspective and I've also attached a piece on CR and ethics which was published recently.
